Celebrate Recovery

The purpose of Celebrate Recovery at South Cleveland is to help people find Love, Hope and Freedom from their Hurts, Habits and Hangups. We are a Christ Centered recovery program that follows 8 principles based on the beatitudes in Matthew 5. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to find true freedom. This freedom creates peace, joy, serenity and most of all a stronger relationship with Christ and others.celebrate_recovery

What to expect:

We have a saying at Celebrate Recovery, “Come as you are, Welcome Home.” You can expect to be loved, accepted and cared for. No matter your past, God can build a stronger future. Celebrate Recovery is not a place to be fixed, judged or condemned. We hold onto strict confidentiality and you can feel comfortable taking off the mask. You will find that you are not alone. That others are dealing with similar situations. God will never waste a hurt in your life.

Thursday Night Lineup:

6:00-7:00 MEAL

We meet every Thursday at South Cleveland. We have a meal in Roberts hall. This is free for first time guest and $3 for all our regulars. We want you to know that our table is your table. This is a great time to have a great meal and have fellowship with others in the program.

7:00-8:15 Large Group

We then move into what we call Large group that meets in the main sanctuary. During this time we have Worship, Lessons, Testimonies. Every lesson is based off of the 8 principles of Recovery. At the end of large group we give away chips/tokens that signify periods of sobriety for those have had time in recovery. This is a time of celebration where we see what God has done in others lives and offer you the chance to also make a decision to start on your recovery journey.

8:20- 9:00 Open Share Groups

These are groups that we have every night that gives us a time of reflection and sharing. This is where we connect with others and also know that we are not alone. But that we can find freedom through confession. This is a safe place to be open. You can also choose not to speak. Our groups include:
