Chris Moody (Teri)

Senior Pastor 

Pastor Chris and his wife, Teri, desire to empower others with a message of “Love, Hope, and Freedom.” Their passionate ministry blends relevant biblical truths with a powerful anointing. They are both from Texas, and have led South Cleveland since October 2002, bringing the congregation to our new facilities in February 2009. Larry Evans (Tiffany)

Associate Pastor 

Larry Evans joined the South Cleveland team in 2008 as Associate Pastor.  Before arriving at South Cleveland, Larry and his wife Tiffany served in a variety of ministry settings.  These experiences include full time evangelism, hospice and correctional chaplaincy, youth pastor and senior pastoral roles.  Larry is a graduate of William Carey University and currently is a student at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary in Cleveland, TN.  Larry and Tiffany both grew up in ministerial families and have inherited the hearts of a pastor.  As they serve the South Cleveland church and surrounding community, it is their vision to provide care for the needs of people and to unify the generations in one heart and one mind. 

Lance Colkmire (Sharon)

Children's Pastor

Lance’s approach to ministry is partnering with parents in nurturing children’s faith in God. A graduate of Lee University and the Church of God Theological Seminary, Lance is also an editor for Pathway Press, where he has written several books on children’s ministry. Lance and his wife, Sharon, are the parents of two college students, April and Allison. The Colkmires have been leading the local Royal Family Kids’ Camp Ministry for foster children for more than a decade. 

Jay Garcia (Jessica)

Worship Leader 

Jay and his wife, Jessica, have two children, JayLee and Cameron. They have been married since July 2006. Shortly after they got married they moved into full-time ministry, and they have been a part of the South Cleveland staff since August 2008. Jay is from Cleveland,and he currently serves on the state music board.

Rodney Williams (Cecily)

Music Director

Rodney has led South Cleveland’s choir and band since October 2006. He is a full-time band director and choir director at Cleveland Middle School, where his wife, Cecily, is also a teacher. They have two children, Patrick and Lauryn. It is their desire to help meet the needs of South Cleveland by leading others in music and song.   

Jason Moore (Tina)

College Pastor

Jason and his wife, Tina, have two children, Hannah and Andrew. They are natives of Fort Worth, Texas. They planted a church in Arlington, Texas, which he co-pastored for seven years until moving to Cleveland to complete their education. Jason has completed the M.A. in youth and family ministry, while Tina is finishing her M.Ed.  He also works at Lee University as a resident director, and Tina is a sixth grade language arts teacher at Ocoee Middle School. 

Wade Hinson (Christina)

Care Pastor

Wade and Christina Hinson have recently answered the call to full-time ministry. They are both students of the Pentecostal Theological Seminary, where he is pursuing a master’s of divinity degree and she is studying marriage and family counseling. Both are graduates of Lee University, and Wade is a veteran of the US Army. After seminary, they plan on going back into the military as chaplains. Married for 10 years, they have three beautiful girls: Ainsley, Renah and Mackenzie.  

Todd Lear

Media Director

Todd is a native of Cleveland, TN. Growing up in Cleveland, He attended Lee University where he completed his degree in Computer Information Systems. After years of volunteering at South Cleveland, Todd joined as a staff member in September of 2009, and excited about the work that God has planned.

Tanya Rutherford (Kyle)

Office Director

Tanya has been married to her husband, Kyle, for 16 years. They have two children, Kylee, 15 years old (sophomore at Cleveland High School) and Cody Rutherford, 10 (Mayfield Elementary School). After years of working at both the state office and general offices of the Church of God and at Lee University, Tonya is excited to be working in a local church.

Steven Swiger (Bobbie, not pictured)

Building/Grounds Supervisor

Steven has been married to Bobbie Swiger for 38 years. They have two children, Wendy Eaton and Rebecca Pressley, 10 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Steven has been South Cleveland’s building and grounds supervisor since 1997, and has been the benevolence director for 10 years.
